Unions want to strike over climate-change issues. Is this support for our cause or do we think they just want to strike over everything? I am curious to know what other Orblers think because I AM WAY TOO CYNICAL to tackle this one!!!!!!

UNIONS are looking to change industrial laws to allow employees to strike over climate-change issues.
ACTU president Sharan Burrow said the union movement was investigating whether new enterprise-bargaining laws were broad enough for the modern workplace.
"Right now, (we're) not sure, but we want to look at the detail to see that it meets the test of a modern workplace," she told academics and students in Sydney today.
"How short-sighted is it of employers to say: `Oh, we don't want workers to go on strike about carbon-reduction solutions.'
"You'll say: `Well hang on, this is probably pretty important to your business and to the planet and to the working environment of workers.'

It's never easy though. As James says - if you're trying to put a roof over your head and food on the table - then you do what you must - but then don't bitch about it.
Had a mate who worked for a large tobacco firm - which gave him two cartons of cigarettes for either his personal use or to give to clients, friends - whoever.
In the end (being an ardent anti-smoker) he tossed in the fairly lucrative role and took a lesser paying position in a company he had a belief in.
