New awesome Website for Carbon Markets
November 1st 2007 07:39
For those of you into Carbon Markets and Trading, quite possibly no-one except me
but there was an awesome new Web-site launched today by Reuters. It is really very impressive and has everything you need to know about trading Carbon Credits, Global Carbon Markets, live pricing, Carbon Markets new and there is even a Blog which of course you may find a few posts of mine there when I get more time on my hands (definitely not this week)
For a site that has only just opened they really haven't missed a beat, and I imagine it will only get better as time progresses.
Here is the link if you want to check the Site out
cheers

HOW much will investors pay to combat climate change?
ANZ is about to find that out by establishing Australia's first wholesale fund that will invest in products, technologies and programs tackling global warming.
The ANZ Climate Change Trust, to be officially launched in Melbourne next month, will invest in the Luxembourg-based SAM Sustainable Climate Fund.
As a wholesale product, the ANZ vehicle will allow government agencies, industry super funds and non-profit organisations to invest in specific companies and technologies.
Launched in March with more than $A200 million, the SAM Sustainable Climate Fund focuses on companies that fight climate change or adapt and respond to it.
These include businesses that have technologies and products, such as building insulation and engineering solutions, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions or increasing the planet's ability to absorb them.
It also invests in warning systems, building infrastructure and agricultural systems designed to limit the impact of climate change.
And it puts money into clean-up and rebuilding programs to deal with the aftermath of natural disasters caused by global warming.
The minimum investment is $500,000.

I agree it probably just is a new tax on the world economy but I don't really see it as genocide.
