Climate Red - News and Views on Climate Change Issues.

First Australian Climate Exchange Opened today

July 23rd 2007 08:06
Australia marginally caught up to the rest of the world today with the launch of our first Climate exchange. The big guns: The ASX are planning to launch next year possibly 2009 so we will see how it all goes for the minnow but a good sign.
One BIG step towards legitamising all these Carbon credits they want us to buy to be alleged good environmental citizens.

Due to lack of time I can't go into detail about this exchange right now, will post in more detail later. If anyone is curious here is the link CLICK HERE TO TAKE A LOOK

and a few details.

Until manyana, Louie

I like the photo, the type at the end looks a bit blurry, I'm not sure about the Climate Red banner but that is just me.

Do you have Al Gore-gasms? I can't see any other reason to push this Carbon Count Crap. Maybe it's time to do a Google Video search and see "the Great Global Warming Swindle" TV movie, by WAG TV, Channel 4, UK. Or hang out at my blog.

Al Gore-gasms very good, if he played for my team maybe I would.......have written quite a few posts on the Global warming swindle, and yes I agree this post is not very Orble centric, however it is a topic of interest for some people out there, including myself as I wasted six months helping a friend out building the Biz plan to launch one the same before the fuckers with the cash came in over the top of us........ Ill come hang out at your blog, we can have fun taking pot shots

Hey Louie, that sounds very intriguing. You and your friend were trying to get in on the Carbon Exchange stuff (in Aus?) and then you were taught that "free enterprise" is just P.R.fantasy. That the big 3-6 financial firms have the monopoly, like Bear your Sterns, Sacks of Gold, Bars of Clay, HSBC (Her Satanic Brattish Catamite), etc., on the next bubble (Carbon) as well as the last bubble (Real estate) and before (Y2K) etc.... As we merrily march off to WW !!!.

correct.....trust me i already knew it, i just escaped a life sentence working for one of them but my friend thought he could take them on, I was happy to go along to learn more about the whole industry ..I had an open mind but had pretty much drawn the conclusion that the cynical side of me was right and this is one huge money making exercise.......and you just watch this bubble go.......the Greedy Green Army is approaching......

All jokes aside the flip side to all this is that a large amount of money is about to be invested in this area and some of it will acutally go towards technologies that will do something good for the environment and I cant argue with that. I am now focussing my energies on finding coys that are genuinely going to do something good for the environment and expose the snake oil sales men out there......should be fun....
