Here are my 30 or so , Green, clean and efficiency global stock picks. The codes are www.yahoo.com/finance codes if you want to look into these stocks yourself. The last name on the list is the way to play the NEX index which is a proxy for clean Investing, i will write more about the NEX another time.
This list gives exposure to Wind, Solar, Biomass, hydro and other renewable energy generation world wide as well as exposure to best in class energy efficiency names. It is worth noting BYD is one of the few stocks Warren Buffet has been buying in this current sell-off.
Again these are my picks, no advice intended. This is how I look at investing in the future and investing in the Climate.

BTW - for those in Aust interested in doing something tangible - there is a Renewable Energy Equity Fund (REEF) available to small companies - not that it is widely promoted by the Govt.
The REEF program is a specialist renewable energy equity fund based on the Innovation Investment Fund (IIF) model. It provides venture capital (equity) to assist small companies to commercialise R and D in renewable energy technologies.
Worth checking out - like I say - for anyone with a bent towards doing something positive.
