Climate Red - News and Views on Climate Change Issues.

This is fighting talk people: Gore speaks out

August 12th 2007 02:13
Well it has been a pretty rough week for Climate Change believers with people even doubting the very weather data that Al gore's entire argument is based on. It is very hard to know from the sidelines whether this is the classic Tall Poppy syndome taking effect on a Global scale or if we really have been lied to. It escaped my attention due to a busy week that Al gore actually spoke out against the Climate change Hoaxers on Tuesday in Singapore, he didn't mince his words either. This little battle could get quite nasty if the gloves come off that is for sure.

Al Gore is saying that the Climate change Hoaxers are running an anti-climate change campaign financed by Polluters!!!! He compared it to the campaigns run by the Tobacco companies........

Here is a little exert but the full story is worth a read if you want to follow the link

"There has been an organized campaign, financed to the tune of about $10 million a year from some of the largest carbon polluters, to create the impression that there is disagreement in the scientific community," Gore said at a forum in Singapore. "In actuality, there is very little disagreement."

He even goes on to use the P and M word's........- puts a chill in the hearts of many a conspiracy theorist- ...yes you got it Propaganda.....and Maniuplation

"They're trying to manipulate opinion and they are taking us for fools," he said.

and wait there is more, our fearless Climate Change leader even names the culprits and has directly pointed the finger at Exxon , whatever you think about Climate change picking a fight with an Oil company is pretty dam courageous thats for sure. I get the feeling there is going to be some blood on the streets before we hear the last of this.

The question will be who can we trust?

Louie,

all you have to do is to go read my post on Sanity Corner about chemtrails....It'll make your hair stand up...

And I was a walking conspiracy theorist, long before it was even popular to be one!

So who do we trust? Each other, the human beings on this planet, and NOT the damned reptile run governent flunkies...

It's not really brave taking on Exxon, he ought to go to Tibet and take on a Yeti if he thinks he's that brave...

LOL

Great read though....all you really have to do is to compare planet temperatures from 15 years ago until today...it's a real eye-opener for non-believers...

Take care,

Nick

Tough week? hahaha, well, I guess for people who don't seem to understand the depth and breadth of climate change it could either be terrible or simply wonderful, though either is pretty much false.

The assumption that the whole theory of mans effect on the enviroment is based on a cornerstone theory that 1998 was the hottest year on record in the US goes to show how busily away the deniers are at grabbing onto straws.

As for the question, 'who can we trust', those who aren't being funded by oil corporations, those who aren't set to gain financially from a cleaner.

I trust scientists, people who twenty years ago might have denied the cause of the increase of the earths temperature is in part related to people but who admit to being wrong now.

Not because it's a point of shame, it isn't, but because it's science, and science develops and people learn, information is gathered, research is conducted and new theories are made. Scientists shouldn't be afraid of admitting they are wrong, which is why they do. Unfortunately this is taken on by shady types trying to gain from it one way or another.

I don't understand why this issue is always being about Al Gore verses someone else.

It should be about whether Climate change and global warming is a problem. Everything else is a distraction.

Yeah I hear you but Al Gore is the only Climate change advocate with enough clout to get a Media relelase happening it seems....therefore he is the voice.....

Agreed that the issue is bigger than him...and boy is that hard, he has stacked on the KG's........

David Suzuki is far more credible in my eyes......but its like writing a post on Britney Spears v Anna Jane Jones///people only see what they know
