Global WarmingDebate Stats: ABC Poll 48.78% belieive 47.99 DO NOT Now that is close......
I go up the Coast for a few days and all hell breaks loose in global Warming Swindle debate land..... after the ABC run a show on the Doco a Global Warming Swindle. I can see from Orble posts that the jury is out on Global Warming and the stats on the ABC Web site suggest this is true for the people who responded to this poll question: Do you think human activity is a significant contributor to global warming?Results:Yes 48.78% No 47.99% Don't know
3.23% Votes counted: 1269. now on such a small sample population this result is hardly conclusive but it probably sums up how the general population feels.
You can't blame the Anti-Global warming conspiracy theorists, especially those that hail from Europe, there is a massive industry being created around this topic and people are getting seriously rich; the supposed agenda for Global Warming is pretty transparent and when we get a Carbon exchange here I imagine we will see the results first hand too. Originally when I started writing these posts I was a believer in Global warming who was outraged at the amounts of money being made by people pretending to be environmental saviours, I still am. However I have reached the conclusion: So what if they make money, this Economic revolution that is going on is doing something we have never seen before: it is delivering serious money into Environmental causes, whether we like it or not, things only get done in the world when the numbers add up.
Whether you believe in Global warming or not you have to believe in saving the planet. And there is no denying we have been doing our best to destroy this planet, so who cares why the money is flowing to fix up the environment, it is flowing; envirnmental projects that have been previously "uneconomic" are suddenly finding investors......that can't be bad
All we need to do is be aware that there are always snake oil salesmen out there and make sure that we put our money with the people who genuinely want to help and let the snake oil sales men rip each other off. Watch out when you buy your Carbon offsets as many guys out there aren't doing what they promise, i.e. no trees get plante dor the projects aren't sustainable. I am doing a series on Green stocks, those with brokerage accounts are probably better off investing in these stocks as opposed to buying Carbon Credits, more on this later.......
