this made me laugh out loud

This made me laugh out loud so I thought I would share. It is not often i get to laugh when it comes to climate change concerns. Here is the link to the offending article and an extract is below so you can get on my page. CLICK HERE FOR FULL ARTICLE
Now correct me if I am wrong people, but don't we already have a Global Warming initiative with only one major developed economy not signed up? I think, but correct me if i am wrong, it is called like the Kyoto Protocol or something....oh right, that's not good enough, George Bush has to make up his own, just so he doesn't have to admit he got it wrong, or is this the Republican Party pressuring him so that Climate Change doesn't cost them the election? Whatever the reason it simply makes me laugh, that now he is converted, it is time for an agreement and he will be the architect for the scheme, HIS LEGACY. Or maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is only talking about America here, but hasn't masses of draft legislation, years in the making, already been passed around the hill?
I am guessing I am preaching to the converted, and hey, I shouldn't look at gift horse in the mouth, the world would be a better place if the U.S. embraces this as a United front. George we are prepared to forget how late you are to the party if you promise not to act like you invented the idea for global co-operation on the issue, and furthermore PLEASE DON'T INSULT US BY MAKING THIS A PRO NUCLEAR GRANDSTANDING PLATFORM, I can smell that one coming.
cheers

President Bush is set to change course and offer up an initiative to combat global warming, the Washington Times reported.
"This is an attempt to move the administration and the party closer to the center on global warming. With these steps, it is hoped that the debate over this is over, and it is time to do something," an anonymous source told the paper regarding the initiative.

I can't wait to see what Jon Stewart will make of it on The Daily Show.
Why the 11th hour conversion?
I sure hope you're wrong about the nuclear, but your logic makes terrifying sense.

Better late than never I guess......though call me paranoid, I'll believe that the US are really going to do something about global warming when I see it!
