Carbon Footprints for Beginners Part III – Solar Power, Windmills and Hybrid Cars
The expensive end of the going green market
By being smarter with our power and via the light bulb approach (see prev article) we can improve our electricity consumption by 30% but if you want to get more serious and have some serious cash this is what it will cost you and some relevant links.
I was reading an article about Green Power in the board room. As I was reading about these CEO’s of companies heroically converting their houses to Green power via Solar Panels windmills (yes I was feeling guilty to say the least) it occurred to me these guys are earning millions every year …..and it is as expensive as I thought I am no longer plagued with guilt.
This is what it will cost:
Solar Panels upwards of $14,000 (but you get up to $8,000 Solar Panel Rebat)e to find out more here is the link click here
and there are various sizes and types of panel and set-ups and this price doesn't include instiallation, I am guessing that the average little old you and me couldnt do it ourselves
Windmills are cheap!!!!! starting at $3,500 each
And a Toyota Prius starts at $37,500 new.
