A look at renewable resources

What is the definition of renewable resources?
In my opinion the resources that we use and can be easily available to us so that we can use them and replace them are renewable resources. Some of these resources are available to us naturally buy what our earth and planets produce. Nature provides us with natural resources that we use and abuse everyday. Making a list of renewable resources we help you understand what to look for when we think about renewable resources.
Wood is one of the main renewable resources that we have. Many countries have policies that clearly lay out the way how the supply of wood and timber are to be replaced. We learn in school that trees and plants take in carbon dioxide and gives of oxygen. Take a look around you each and everyday and look at the amount of paper that is being used in your own daily life. Each aspect of our life relies on these paper products. That is why we need to recycle and buy recyclable materials. Also look at all of the new construction that is going own around you. I have been in residential construction for 30 years and have seen a lot of wood come and go. I live in the middle of the timber industry in Washington Parish located in Louisiana just north of Lake Ponchatrain. This is a big industry where we live. I see truck loads of timber going down the road each and everyday. At the same time I see lots of planting this pine timber back only to be grown for future use. There is also a Gaylord paper plant in the parish we live.It is important for us to recycle and help this resource last and help this resource to help catch up with our demand.
Solar power.
Energy that is taken from the sun is completely renewable. Unlike the energy we use from burning of fossil fuels that is completely nonrenewable solar energy can be used and replaced through the hours we have of sunlight. This is a great renewable resource that we are beginning to understand. The only drawback that we have we this type of energy is the initial cost of getting set up for solar energy. There are many tax credits and resources to help up with the upgrades. But like anything else the more it is used and researched the cheaper it eventually comes. Remember what the cost of the first flat screen television was when they first came out compared to the price now?
Wind energy.
Wind energy is another alternative energy source that is completely renewable. This is a great source that naturally occurs. The technology for this type of energy is greatly growing. They used wind energy for years to help run windmills to pump water. Today there are wind farms popping up all over the globe. Why not tap into this source of energy? Technology is working to develop these windmills to help produce energy with the least wind possible. Just recently I posted a story about wind turbines being built in New Orleans. This is a great source of energy that needs to be developed as much as possible.
Biomass.
Biomass is a name given to plants that can be grown as an energy source. These plants are grown and harvested in a manner that they are renewable. Fuels from biomass are used for many things, including future use in our transportation services.
Just take a look around in your everyday personal life and see how you can help in your everyday life to help our renewable resources to help catch up.
